Artist Statement
I have lived in the Lake Lotowana area of Missouri most of my life. I have always had the ‘artistic’ personality much to the perplexity of my maternal parents. I design and make what I have been told are beautiful and dynamic pieces of art. Of all the mediums which I have tried, perhaps the metal working and stone threading into jewelry has been the most fulfilling.
After moving to Springfield, Missouri I began to make my own jewelry. I attended an accelerated Silver Smithing class presented by the SW MO Art Guild; then I began to sell my silver pieces. My use of color, texture and shape draw most people to touch my creations. I envision or feel an affinity with the stones and how they vibrate and blend together.
