Wildlife artist Dennis Anderson's work eloquently expresses the observation of movement and emotion of animals in action. A native of Seattle, Anderson attended the Santa Barbara City College and the Pasadena Art Center College of Design. He worked as an illustrator for the Department of Defense, as a scientific illustrator for the University of California, as a designer for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, and as a freelance illustrator. He was a full-time fine artist from 1973 until his death in 2005. He was awarded with a Gold Metal from the National Academy of Western Art among many other awards.
