Artist Statement
I have longed to travel, but life has rooted me to this ground, so my journey has turned inward, freeing me to paint the places that I, alone, can see. Strange creatures come, unbidden, to my canvas. They surprise and delight me. There is a music to the line and color, just as there is a pattern and texture to life. Neither can be reduced to a simple formula.
