Robert Langford was born in 1958 near Victorville, California. From there, his family moved a lot, taking him to Billings, Montana; Houston, Texas, and Tampa, Florida. Langford spent his junior high and high school years living with his grandparents on a hog farm in Gentry, Arkansas.
"My art isn't quaint or cliche. It is the recognition of the simple everyday things that are the background of my life. My subjects veer from realism to surrealism, always communicating the moral force of nature."
