Renee Knight

Arriving from England in 1957, Renee Knight received her early art scghooling in Brantford, Ontario where she also studied life drawing under the direction of Mario Polidori at Glenhyrst. In 1974, she obtained a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Western Ontario, London.
For some time, Knight painted in acrylic and watercolor, always returning to her real passion - drawing. In 1988, working exclusively in colored pencil, she embarked on a series of nature studies based on her exploration of local woods and streams. Each requiring months to complete in its intricate detail, these drawings are a sensitive reflection of nature's bounty.
In September 2006, she found herself living in the Ozarks area where she is a member of the Finley River Fine Artists. Knight's paintings and drawings, including numerous commissions, hang in private and corporate collections in Canada, the U.K and the U.S.
